Grey With Stars

grey2

grey1

This one has more billowy sleeves with elastic in the hems. I think I pulled the neck elastic a bit tight as the neckline is a little higher than I thought it would be, but I'm cool with that. I think this one has turned out the best so far, bar having to sew one of the pockets three times as I totally had a brain fart and forgot how to do it. Duh. There's also a simple skirt to match made with the left over fabric, but I haven't worn it yet, hence no picture.

I bought a couple of new fabrics today; red with larger white polka dots and a mid grey with blue roses. I also bagged myself three pairs of cheapo leggings in blue, red and pink, which I think will go very nicely, thank you. The pattern for these fabrics is slightly different, more of a tunic, I suppose. A baggyish one you need a belt for, which I think will be a) easy to sew, only being four pieces and b) uber comfy. Out and about yesterday, I saw a couple of people wearing really nice tops that kind of fell from a very high "waist" just sitting on top of the bosoms, which I seem to remember was all the rage three years or so ago, and one with tiny little buttons down the bodice, which would be lovely as a detail on a plain dress. Ideas.....
