Blue Roses

This is my first attempt at the new pattern I was banging on about:

greyblue2

greyblue1

greyblue5

I have to say, it was easssiiieeeee peeeeasssiiieeee. From cutting out to finishing was two hours, max. Without the belt is is HUGE, though, like some 70s maternity tent or something, so not all that flattering, but with a belt I think it's really nice. I think I'm going to make an obi-style belt or similar with some of the remaining fabric and see how that looks, too. Pretty chuffed. And how lucky was it that I already had tights in the most perfect shade of blue? And that my mustard yellow cardi worked really well with the fabric? And that somehow I had made the perfect brooch to go with the whole thing a few weeks ago?? Crazy. But very cool. Not entirely sure the neon green nail varnish goes, though...

So, another dress for the bargain price of 8 quid. Awesome. Just the red with white polka dots to go....

I must say I'm very impressed by all the dresses and skirts you've been whipping up recently.
They all look really really good.
Well done indeed :)
