Much more expressive with the floppy ears, I think. The second one is in fact the same drawing as the first, I just moved a few features around. Amazing what a tilt of the eyeline or angle of an ear can do.
Bloody nice drawings Emma! I'm discovering the same feature thing with a squirrel character I'm doing, he has 'Tintin' ovals for eyes, and just one smidgen too much pencil changes the whole expression.
(Look at Disney toys, many of them have a tiny angle to the eyes, so that they have a pathetic, 'love me please' expression).
